What We Do

Using our individualized applied behavior analysis process, we strive to make a significant difference in your child's life. We use a family-centered, team-based approach to help families manage autism spectrum disorders, learning and behavioral challenges, and related developmental delays.

We provide personal, differentiated, evidenced-based treatment by building strong relationships with children and their families.  We work one-on-one with you and your child to create and implement individualized goals to ensure the development of each child in all of their natural settings: in their home, school, and community.

Our behavioral intervention team helps individuals with autism to communicate, play, make friends, and function independently. We facilitate positive and excel behaviors while reducing undesireable behaviors.

Our trained therapists deliver effective, applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment, including:

    - Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)

    - Naturalistic Environment Teaching (NET)

    - Verbal Behavior (VB)

Through play and hands-on activities, we teach kids affected by autism basic social skills, communication skills, emotional development, and independent living skills.  We collaborate with  their behavior treatment team by participating in clinical team meetings, reporting progress, providing and receiving specific feedback, and implementing appropriate changes to the developmental program.

To ensure progress, we design a specific plan for your child and execute its objectives daily, to improve their everyday behavior through skill acquisition. We keep detailed treatment notes and behavior data that is shared regularly during family training. Our process and practices ensures continuity of treatment and increase remediation progress.

The goals of our program are to offer support to families affected by autism and to enable healthy and fulfilling lives for children with special needs.

Testimonials

"As a parent, you want to provide all the necessary supports for your children. Like too many, our son was diagnosed with Autism at a very young age and we feared the worst. There were many "experts," that forecasted their professional opinions to what his future/ maximum potential would look like. It was heartbreaking to say the least. Thankfully, my wife discovered Maggie and because of her gift of working with children on the spectrum, we quickly began to see and believe that our son would be destined to flourish and succeed! Without a doubt, early intervention altered my son's path and Maggie is as great as it gets! 14 years later, I remain grateful for all of her support, as this young man has exceeded all expectations!! "Maggie saved our sons! After working with Maggie intensively for over 5 years, our sons went from being far behind in their development by social, intellectual, and physical measures to being on par or ahead of their peers in many respects. Maggie worked tirelessly with our three boys with endless energy and patience and pulled from a vast array of experience and ideas to do whatever was necessary to achieve her goals. She was always a pleasure to work with and immensely supportive of us as parents. This has only scratched the surface of what Maggie did for our family  and we are forever grateful!"

"The work Maggie did with my son was nothing short of miraculous. When she started with him as a toddler he had no language and very few skills. Within a few weeks he was saying and doing things I couldn't even believe. After a year, he was a completely different child. Maggie was able to work through my son's sensory, behavioral, and communication issues. Today, I have a teenager who is completely typical next to his same aged peers. Actually, he's a hardworking, straight A, Honors student. I credit his early days with Maggie as to his educational work ethic now. We are forever grateful."

"Why Brain and Behavior Connections? . . .  We now know that the brain is a complex organ. It can change. Science discovered that neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change itself IF given the opportunity for there to be new connections. This is achieved through hours of therapy over time, sometimes even years. This is how our daughter overcame so many of the ASD symptoms that were preventing her form living the fulfilling life that she now lives as an extremely high functioning 15 year-old teen! But we did the work it required to see true transformation by using Maggie's ABA interventions. Not only did Maggie work directly with our daughter, she trained us how to implement those same strategies. We must put in the time and effort to see real change. I like to say, we take our medicine now, or we take it later. Our work with Maggie is still paying off. Our daughter is a straight A student at a top private school, plays competitive sports and is part of a performing arts conservatory. She also sings with the worship team at our church. Maggie was fully committed to our family, not just our daughter.  Thank you so very much Maggie!
